Malcolm Mooney

Malcolm Mooney is an American musician and visual artist. He was the vocalist on several albums of the German Krautrock band Can.

Training

Mooney studied fine arts at various universities, including the University of Cologne, Boston University, the School of Visual Arts in New York and California State University. His pieces he exhibited primarily in the United States. His academic career Mooney graduated in 1979 in Boston with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and in 1987 at the California State University with a Master of Fine Arts from.

Music

Malcolm Mooney is known in Europe and especially Germany less through his art than by his voice. Mooney sings on the debut album from Can, Monster Movie, and on several later publications. In 1970 he left Germany in the direction of the United States and was replaced by Damo Suzuki at Can.
