Malé Březno (Most District)

Malé Březno ( German Klein Priesen ) is a municipality in Okres Most in the Czech Republic.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1334 as " Březen " and " Brezový les ", the church belonged to the deanery Saatzer. After several changes of ownership, the good which belonged to Johann Freiherr von Findelstein to 1644, was sold after his death in 1672 to the Lords of Eisenstein ( Prince of Lobkowicz ). From the mid-19th century, the city formed a community in the judicial district or in the district of Chomutov Görkau. The village lies on the River rags Bach, on the 1897 an iron bridge was built.

1887 was small Praised by the local railway Potscherad - Wurzmes a rail connection.

Attractions

The late Gothic church St. John by the Porte from the year 1334. According to major damage during the Thirty Years War, the church was consecrated in 1644 new.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Malé Brezno Brezno Malé (small Priesen ) and Vysoke Brezno (Upper Priesen ). Basic settlement units are Bylany ( Püllna ) Holešice ( Holschitz ), Malé Brezno Brezno and Vysoke. The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Bylany u Mostu, Holešice and Malé Březno. Moreover lies in the municipal area, the extinct village Vršany ( Würschen ).
