Malena Ernman
Sara Magdalena " Malena " Ernman (born 4 November 1970 at Uppsala ) is a Swedish opera singer with the vocal ranges soprano and mezzo- soprano. She is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and represented Sweden at the 2009 Euro Vision Song Contest.
Career as an opera singer
Ernman sang as a child, first in amateur choirs and was formed after the discovery of her talent at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Her debut was in the role of Kaja in Sven- David Sandström Staden.
It occurs both in the field of early music and of bel canto, the contemporary opera, as well as with the usual repertoire of their voting compartment ( coloratura ) mezzo soprano and worked with numerous famous conductors together, including Daniel Barenboim, William Christie, Daniel Harding, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and René Jacobs.
Their role interpretations attest always also her extraordinary acting talent and stage presence.

Euro Vision Song Contest
Ernman took 2009 entitled La Voix on Melodifestivalen, the Swedish pre-decision to Euro Vision Song Contest, and won 14 March 2009 the final. So she qualified for participation in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. In the finals she won the 21th place, had won the Norwegian Alexander Rybak.
