Malorie Blackman

Malorie Blackman ( born February 8, 1962 in Clapham, London ) is a British author. She was appointed Children's Laureate 2013-2015.

Malorie Blackman practiced before her career as a writer many different jobs. In addition to working as a database manager, Systemprogrammiererin, receptionist, employees of a catering company, she worked as a shop assistant. During this time she undertook many journeys that shaped their later literary orientation.

Today she has been a full author and writes mainly children's books. Currently, she has published over 50 books, some of which were filmed. Next, she received numerous awards for her work.

The enthusiastic piano, saxophone and computer Malorie Blackman player lives with her husband and her daughter in London.

Your 2008 German published book Heaven and Hell ( " Noughts & Crosses ", 2001 ) caused a sensation. The book deals with the issue of racism from a different point of view: The oppressed people are white.
