The Japanese crab apple (Malus floribunda ), also known as Coral Tree, is a species of the genus of apples (Malus ) in the rose family ( Rosaceae ). The species is native to Japan, from where it was brought to Europe in 1862. It is possible that with her to a hybrid.

Description
