Mammal Review

The journal Mammal Review is a zoological journal, which is published as the official journal of the British Mammal Society. The magazine has been published since 1970 with the number 42 in 2012, currently it is published four times a year. In addition, irregular appear topical issues such as the published magazine in April 2011 under the title Genetics and conservation of large mammals in Europe.

The impact factor of the journal is as specified by Wiley -Blackwell at 2,515, the annual average at 3,081.

History of the publications of the Society

In addition to the Mammal Review the Mammal Society regularly publishes a newsletter for members with the name Mammal News. Before the journal Mammal Review, as well as members of the designed Mammal News newspaper in 1970 published, the company published from 1955 to 1969, the published twice a year as members of The Bulletin magazine with scientific contributions. Parallel Notes on British Mammals was published for members, took over the articles of the Journal of Zoology related to mammals in the UK. The latter was released until 1997.

Content

The journal covers all subject areas of the mammalian research. Articles deal with the theoretical and applied research on mammals, and especially articles about the status, protection and management of wild mammals with a focus on the UK.
