Mamoré Province

Mamoré is a province in the northeastern part of the Beni Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia. It takes its name from the Río Mamoré, which forms the border with the neighboring province Yacuma.

Location

The province is one of eight provinces in the department of Beni. It is bordered to the west by the province Yacuma, to the south by the province of Cercado, on the east by the province Iténez, and to the north by the Republic of Brazil.

The province extends approximately between 11 ° 52 'and 14 ° 04' south latitude and 64 ° 14 ' and 65 ° 20 ' west longitude, its extent from east to west is 150 kilometers from north to south 325 km.

Population

The population of the province Mamoré has risen in the past two decades by about a quarter:
