Mampruli (also Mamprule, Manpelle, Ngmamperli ) is the language of the Mamprusi in Ghana and Togo.
About 220,000 speakers (2004 SIL ) live in Ghana east and west of Gambaga, in the northeast of the Northern region.
Mampruli is also spoken in Togo.
Recognized dialects are East and West Mampruli Mampruli with a intelligibility of 50 % with Dagbani. Lexical correspondence consists of 95 % with Dagbani and 90% with Farefare.
