Manal al-Sharif

Manal al -Sharif (born 1978 or 1979 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia) is a Saudi IT consultant who works for the company Aramco. She was known to drive a car for their commitment to the right, as a woman in Saudi Arabia. This law calls it in its campaign Woman a 2 Drive. After they let themselves be filmed by Wajeha al - Huwaider at the wheel of a car, and published the video on the Internet, she was arrested on May 22, 2011 by security authorities night because Aufwiegelns of public opinion against the state. Amnesty International called for their release. On 30 May 2011 it was released conditionally.
