Manasseh Ishiaku
Manasseh Ishiaku ( born January 9, 1983 in Port Harcourt ) is a Nigerian football player who also has a Belgian passport.
Career
Ishiaku began his career with Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan. In 2001, the striker to Europe for Belgian club KSV Roeselare. After a year he moved to the prime Jupiler League to RAA La Louviere. With the club he reached the Belgian Cup final, where he scored two goals for a 3-1 win over VV St. Truiden 2003.
In January 2005, Ishiaku joined the league rivals Club Brugge. In 2007 he scored in the Cup final in a 1-0 victory over Standard Liege the decisive goal.
For the 2007/2008 season he moved to MSV Duisburg and signed a contract for four years until 2011. Already in his first Bundesliga game for the Zebras on August 12, 2007 in Dortmund, he scored two goals ( and already in the cup match against SV Babelsberg ) and thus contributed significantly to the 3:1 victory of Duisburg. In the second home game of the season against Arminia Bielefeld, he shot the MSV for the first home win of the season. At this time he had already achieved five goals in the season, so he took second place in the short time scorers list.
For the game on 14 October 2007 he was appointed national coach Berti Vogts for the first time in the national team of Nigeria and played in the 2-2 draw against Mexico over the full season.
From the 2008/ 09 season was Ishiaku the jersey of the 1st FC Cologne. The transfer fee was € 2.5 million and the term was fixed until 30 June 2012. There he remained until the end of the season 2010/11.
