Rio Negro

The Ponte Rio Negro is a bridge over the Rio Negro at Manaus, Brazil, in the state of Amazonas.

Building

The 3.5 km long bridge crossing the mighty river between Manaus and Iranduba about 11 km before its confluence with the Amazon ( Solimões ). The Rio Negro, previously wide to about 20 km, here narrowed by high banks at about 2.7 km wide and can thus be more passable on the Bridges.

Construction and inauguration
