Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin is a town in the north of the Pakistani province of Punjab with over 120,000 Einwohnernund capital of Mandi Bahauddin District. MandiBahauddin lies between two rivers, Jehlam and Chanab.

The city is also known for the Battle of the Hydaspes between Alexander the Great and the Indian King Poros, said to have come in the Alexander's horse Bucephalus died.

On 31 May 2011 the body of journalist Syed Saleem Shahzad was found in a canal near the city, which had signs of torture. Shahzad had fallen into their field of fire through his reporting on the activities of Pakistan's ISI.
