Mane Department

Mane is both a municipality (French commune Rurale ) and a comprehensive department of the same territory in the West African state of Burkina Faso in the region Centre- North and the province Sanmatenga. The municipality has 46,297 inhabitants, in the majority Mossi in 46 villages.

Until the conquest by the French at the end of the 19th century Mane was an independent kingdom.
