Maneca

Manuel Marinho Alves, known by the stage name Maneca ( born January 28, 1926 in Salvador da Bahia, † June 28, 1961 in Rio de Janeiro) was a Brazilian football player. The striker was a member of the Brazilian national team at the World Cup 1950 in Brazil.

During his career as a football player, which lasted from 1943 to 1957, he played for the club Galícia Esporte Clube Vitória, Vasco da Gama and Bangu. He won the state championship of the State of Rio de Janeiro four times. The Copa Libertadores 1948 he won Later he won the state championship of Bahia (so-called: Campeonato Baiano ). Thrice.
