Manfred Seifert

Manfred " Manni " Seifert ( born April 22, 1949 in Rosenheim, † April 2005 in Rosenheim ) was a German football goalkeeper.

Career

Emerged from the youth of the TSV 1860 Rosenheim, Seifert received early in the season 1969/70 a professional contract at Bayern Munich - from now on as a substitute goalkeeper for Sepp Maier. However, he came to his Bundesliga debut: April 30, 1970 ( 33 Matchday) he came on in the 80th minute when home win over Rot-Weiss Oberhausen ( 6:2 ). After three more seasons and three other missions, he left not only the Bavarians, but also the Bundesliga.

In 1973, he joined the Regionalliga Süd for FC Bayern Hof. Immediately after the first season Seifert rose with his team in the 2nd Bundesliga Süd. After the climb, he was 79 times the gate, and also 5 times in the national cup competition.
