Manga (goalkeeper)

Haílton Corrêa de Arruda ( born April 26, 1937 in Recife, Brazil, called Manga) was a Brazilian football goalkeeper.

His goalkeeping career began in 1955 at Sport Club do Recife. From 1959 to 1968 he played for Botafogo FR (RJ) and from 1969 to 1974 at Nacional Montevideo in Uruguay. In 1974 he then moved to SC Internacional, where he played until 1976. From 1977, he played one year at Operário FC ( 1977), Coritiba FC ( 1978) and Grêmio Porto Alegre ( 1979-1980 ). In 1981 he went to Ecuador, where the Barcelona SC Guayaquil he guarded the gate to 1982.

"Manga " had the most missions as a player in the Copa Libertadores. He belonged to the squad of the Brazilian national team at the World Cup 1966 in England.
