Mani Neumeier

Mani Neumeier ( Manfred Neumeier, born December 31, 1940 in Munich) is a rock musician, free jazz - drummer, artist, frontman ( singer and drummer ) of the German Krautrock - band Guru Guru. Except with Guru Guru, he works as a soloist and with numerous musicians and bands, including with Conni Maly ( Lover 303), Irène Schweizer, Dieter Moebius, Damo Suzuki, Harmonia, Hans Reffert, Hans- Karsten Raecke and (together with Luigi Archetti ) in tandem Animals at Night. The Berlin Jazz Days 1966 he played with the Globe Unity Orchestra. After a successful tour of Japan by Guru Guru Mani Neumeier was erected in 1996 as the first German musicians in the Waxworks Museum in Tokyo. Neumeier has lived in Germany and Japan.
