Manuel Blanc

Manuel Blanc ( born June 12, 1968 in Boulogne- Billancourt ) is a French actor.

After a first experience in amateur theater groups Blanc had wanted to be a director originally, but this project rejected and turned to the work in front of the camera. Same for his first film, André Téchiné hustler drama I kiss not ( with Philippe Noiret and Emmanuelle Béart ), he was awarded the César Award for Best Young Actor.

His second film was Jacques Derays thriller The lawyer with Alain Delon. For Deux fois times éteints he received the 1994 Prix Jean Gabin. To date, he participated in over 50 film and television productions and has worked with well-known directors of France: Josée Dayan, Édouard Molinaro, Werner Schroeter, Stéphan Guérin - Tillié, Antony Hickling, Jérôme Savary and Philippe Calvario.

For the play Ladies Night, he received the 2001 Molière Award.

Blanc lives openly homosexual in Paris.
