Manuel Konrad

Manuel Konrad ( born April 14, 1988 in Illertissen ) is a German footballer who is mostly used as a defensive midfielder. Since the summer of 2010 he plays for the second division FSV Frankfurt.

Career

Konrad played in youth for TSV Obenhausen, the TSV Neu-Ulm and the SSV Ulm 1846. 2003 he moved to the youth department of SC Freiburg. About the second team of the SC youth teams and he came in the 2006/07 season to a professional contract. Nevertheless match practice he collected mostly in the league team.

In the first round of 2006/ 07 he joined his first professional use, as he stood half time on 25 August 2006 against SpVgg Unterhaching on the lawn. In the fall of 2007, he was awarded the Fritz Walter Medal in Silver of the vintage U-19. After a total of only four second-division games in two and a half seasons he was loaned out during the winter break of the season 2008/ 09 on the third division Unterhaching. In summer 2009, he moved permanently to SpVgg. For Unterhaching he scored 26 game against SSV Jahn Regensburg his first goal in professional football.

In May 2010, Conrad signed a contract with the second division FSV Frankfurt. The contract has a term until the end of the season 2011/12. At first he had only in the U -23 team of FSV in the Regionalliga Süd a regular place, from the 10th Round put him coach Hans -Jürgen Boysen after the injury-related loss of Andreas Dahlén and Marc Stein on the unfamiliar Manuel Konrad left-back position. He was able to convince with his performance and was also in the following games for the Bornheimer. Also in the 2011/12 season he first came hardly to train as a new addition with Nils Teixeira took the position at left-back. In the second round, he jumped at injury- related failures of Björn silts or Gledson as a central defender. Under the new coach Benno Möhlmann Konrad stood on this position at the end of the round eventually often in the starting XI and came to a total of 14 missions. His contract was renewed for one year.
