Manuel Wilhelm

Manuel Wilhelm ( * December 15, 1980 in Heidelberg) is a German rugby union player.

Career

William plays since the age of six rugby. In the Bundesliga, he debuted with the RG Heidelberg, but later switched to local rivals SC New Home. After his military service, he was also active in the squad of the Spanish first division CAU Valencia. Currently, he plays again for his hometown club RG Heidelberg.

Among his successes was the two-time winning the German championship in 2006 and 2007 and the Rugby Cup victory in 2004, all of which he won as a player of the RG Heidelberg. In addition, he was able to win five times with same club the German Siebenermeisterschaft.

Besides his activities as a club player Wilhelm was already on for the German national team.

William is known in the German Rugby scene as the founder of the largest German-language Internet portal Rugby TotalRugby.de and as a co- commentator for rugby broadcasts of the television station Sport 1. He is also a co-founder of the famous Beach Rugby Clubs The Romantic BRFC.
