Manuele Blasi (2009)

Manuele Blasi ( born August 17, 1980 in Civitavecchia, Italy) is an Italian football player. He plays as a defensive midfielder.

Career

In the club

Blasi comes from the youth department of the Roma, from 1998 he was the pro squad of the Roma, 2000/ 01 he was on loan to the U.S. Lecce, the 2001/02 season he spent on loan at AC Perugia. There he became a regular player and was taken in the following season by the club finally under contract.

Manuele Blasi 2002 was committed by Juventus, who loaned him directly back to Perugia. The 2003/04 season on loan at Blasi spent another club, this time to the AC Parma. In January 2004, the Italian Football Federation detained him for six months, since he had been tested positive for nandrolone at a doping control. The lock has been shortened by filing an appeal by one month so that he could participate again at the end of the season, before he returned to Turin in the summer.

For the season 2004 /05 Blasi returned to the old lady who had committed a new coach Fabio Capello with. Since Capello Blasi had particularly valued and supported already in the common time at AS Roma, Manuele Blasi was this season for stem strength in midfield and formed initially with his partner Emerson the foundation for Juve's 28th league title. Towards the end of the season, however, Capello left him more often just sit on the bench. 2005/ 06 Manuele Blasi no longer came on the reservists being mostly out, but still won with Juventus his second Scudetto. Both championship title was later, but revoked because Juve's involvement in the match-fixing scandal.

After Juventus had relegated to the 2006/ 07 to Serie B, Blasi was loaned to Fiorentina, where he was a regular in midfield again under coach Cesare Prandelli. After his return in the summer to Juventus, 2007 50% of his transfer rights were sold to Napoli in August. In June 2008, the two clubs agreed Blasis permanent move to Napoli.

In the National Team

Manuele Blasi went through the youth teams of the Italian football federation since the U- 15th In 1999, he was with Italy in the final of the U-19 European Championship, which was lost in Norrköping 0-1 against Portugal. In 2002, he reached with the Italian U -21 semi-final at the European Championships in the Czech Republic, where they lost to the host with 2:3 aet.
