MÄori Television
Māori Television is a television station in New Zealand, which attempts, the Maori language Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori Maori culture revive. With funding from the New Zealand Government, the station was set up in Auckland and sends since March 28, 2004.
The station changed its name in late 2007 Maori Television Tahi (Maori TV One ), as a new station Maori Television Rua (Maori Television Two ) receives his program.

Achievements
In the very first month on the air Māori Television has reached immediately an audience of 300,000 people. Three years later, in April 2007, Māori Television had already reached 722,000 viewers, an increase of 140 percent. From March 2004, more than 1.7 million New Zealanders have already seen the program the transmitter until the end of 2007.
70 percent of all Māori Māori Television over 5 years have already seen; 73 percent of all inhabitants of the islands of Oceania; 43 percent of Pākehā - New Zealander; and 32 percent of all New Zealand Asians. More than 97 percent of New Zealand's population knows Māori Television, 67 percent of the population have seen the program, and 82 percent of the population in favor of Māori Television as a permanent part of the local television landscape.
