Map surround

The leaf margin or edge of the card a printed map is that part of a map that is outside of the card and the card mirror frame. This usually several centimeters wide space - especially at the bottom - used to accommodate additional information:

  • To the editor and data base
  • For the legend ( the card numbers used )
  • To the different directions of North
  • Year of publication and whether the ( last tracking)
  • Copyright and copyright law.
