Marat Kalimulin

Marat Natfulowitsch Kalimulin (Russian Марат Натфулович Калимулин; born August 20, 1988 in Togliatti, Russian SFSR; † 7 September 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl ) was a Russian ice hockey player who during his career for the HK Lada Togliatti and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Continental Hockey League was under contract.

Career

Marat Kalimulin began his career as a hockey player at youth level of HK Lada Togliatti, for the first team, he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the season 2005/ 06. Here, the defenders in eleven games scoring one goal and set up another front. With Lada he won the 2006 IIHF Continental Cup. However, in this as in the following season he came almost exclusively for Ladas second team in the third-tier league Perwaja used. Since the 2008/ 09 season the junior national team for Togliatti played in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. In 2010 he moved to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Kalimulin came September 7, 2011 in a plane crash near Yaroslavl killed.

Internationally

For Russia Kalimulin took part in the U20 World Youth Championship 2008, where he finished in third place with his team.
