Marc Lawrence
Marc Lawrence, born Max Goldsmith ( born February 17, 1910 in New York, NY, USA, † 28 November 2005 in Palm Springs, California ) was an American actor.
Life
Lawrence studied at the City College of New York and made his debut as an actor in 1931 with John Garfield together, he was a member of the troupe of Eve LeGalienne and then received a contract with the Columbia Pictures. ; his scarred face and his brooding nature made him a perfect gangster occupation. In the 1950s he gave before the Committee on Un-American Activities for to have once been a member of the Communist Party USA. Since he was therefore put on the black list, he filmed some time in Europe, where he returned later renewed. In the late 1960s he began working as a television director.
Lawrence played in the movie Brigham Young (1943 ) alongside Tyrone Power, in The Ox -Bow (1943 ) next to Henry Fonda, in the film Key Largo (1948 ) opposite Humphrey Bogart in the movie From Dusk Till Dawn (1996 ) alongside Harvey Keitel George Clooney and Salma Hayek. He also appeared in the James Bond films Diamonds Are Forever (1971 ) and The Man with the Golden Gun (1974 ) can be seen.
In Comedies of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, he was also to be seen: as "Mr. Torpedo " in The Supercop (1980 ) and" Mr. Salvatore Licuti " in Bud, the crooks Schreck (1982).
One of his last roles was in 1999, when Mr. zeemo in the Star Trek series Deep Space Nine episode " Badda - Bing Badda - Bang ".
Lawrence was married to Fanya Foss and had two children.
