Marcel Rodman

Marcel Rodman ( born September 25, 1981 in Rodine, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who stands at the Schwenningen Wild Wings in the German Ice Hockey League from 2013 under contract.

Career

Rodman began his career in the youth teams of HK Jesenice, before moving in 1998 to North America and there initially for one year played in the Ontario Junior Hockey League before he joined the Peterborough Petes. Despite good performance in the Ontario Hockey League, he returned to his third year overseas to Europe. In the following years, he moved several times, the team also completed a season in the German Ice Hockey League, but always returned to his tribe team of Jesenice. Most recently, he played consistently together with his brother David, with whom he shared with Aaron Fox was one of the most successful striker lines of the Austrian Hockey League in the season 2006/ 07. Despite the good performances but Jesenice failed in the first season in the EBEL short of playoff participation. As a result, the entire formation of the Vienna Capitals was signed, where the three but could ' not repeat their performance as a result of a persistent Fox. After another year in Jesenice Marcel came along with his brother in 2009 returned to Vienna, where he was active in the following three years. In the 2012/2013 season, Rodman was with the Bietigheim Steelers champions of the 2nd Hockey League. There was the aggressor best scorer of his team and the second best behind Daniel Hacker total in the league.

In the summer of 2013 he joined the Schwenningen Wild Wings on from the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Internationally

For Slovenia, Rodman took at junior level at the U20 Junior C World Championships in 1999, 2000 and 2001 in part. In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the B World Championships in 2001, 2007, 2009 and 2010 and at the A World Championships in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2011. Since the 2010 World Cup, he is an assistant captain of Slovenia.

The brother of Marcel Rodman is David Rodman, who is about two years younger. Marcel graduated from a large part of his professional career with his brother.
