Marcelo Zarvos
Marcelo Uchoa Zarvos ( MAY 1969 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian composer and pianist (sometimes accordionist ).
Life
Marcelo Uchoa Zarvos was born in the second generation of Greek expatriates in São Paulo and grew up there. With 10 years Zarvos began intensively to play the piano before he first appeared professionally at 13 in local night clubs. A year later he had a recording contract with Columbia Records, when he joined the moderately successful band Tokyo. While his band time he came as a keyboard player and songwriter, not only with music composition in contact, he also experienced other musical influences together while he played with Nina Hagen and Cauby Peixoto. This then meant that he continued to study music under the guidance of the German musician Hans -Joachim Koellreutter before the U.S. Berklee College of Music began with 18 years of music studies, which he completed at the California Institute of the Arts with a bachelor's degree. He then graduated with a Masters in Music at Hunter College.
After Zarvos with Peter Epstein, the jazz album Dualism and as a leader, the albums labyrinth and Music Journal recorded, it was the Brazilian director Paulo MachLine that struck him in 1999 in a New York nightclub and asked for his short film Uma História de Futebol to compose music. Since then Zarvos was responsible for such films as The Good Shepherd, Street Justice - active Brooklyn 's Finest and The Beaver as a composer.
Zarvos is dating actress Janel Moloney U.S., with the since 14 February 2010, he has a son.
