Collected since 1573 to the Duchy, a small part of the country came to the Mantuan War of Succession ( 1628-1631 ) to the House of Savoy, the old claims (up to 1330 reaching ) claimed. The greater part of the Duchy remained the Gonzaga - Nevers, until these changed in the Spanish war of succession to the French side and therefore by Emperor Leopold I of Gonzaga all fiefs were confiscated.
