Marco Caligiuri

Marco Caligiuri [ ˌ kalɪdʒuri ] ( born April 14, 1984 in Villingen -Schwenningen ) is a German - Italian footballer. He is the brother of Daniel Caligiuri.

Career

Caligiuri began playing football at BSV Schwenningen, before he went to the youth department of the VfB Stuttgart. There he began his career as a professional football player in the second team of the Swabians in the Regionalliga Süd. During the winter break of the season 2005/ 06 he moved from VfB Stuttgart on loan until 2007 for MSV Duisburg. At his Bundesliga debut, he scored in the game against his former club VfB Stuttgart 1-0 winning goal for MSV. For the season 2007/ 08 he moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. After three years in Fürth Caligiuri moved to season 2010/ 11 to the Bundesliga 1 FSV Mainz 05

After the 2012/13 season Caligiuri received a new contract in Mainz; Bundesliga team Eintracht Braunschweig signed him for Season 2013 / 14th He signed a two-year contract.

For the German U-20 national team, he played twice.
