Marco Cecchinato
Marco Cecchinato ( born September 30, 1992) is an Italian tennis player.
Career
Marco Cecchinato plays mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Futures Tour. His first match on the ATP World Tour, he played in May 2013 at the Open de Nice Côte d' Azur in Nice, where he made the jump into the main draw through the qualifying rounds. In the first round he was officially introduced to his compatriot Fabio Fognini against whom he lost despite clearly recovered starting block with 6:1, 1:6 and 2:6. On August 11, 2013 Cecchinato then celebrated his first title on the Challenger Tour. Means come to a wildcard into the tournament, he defeated on the way to the final three seeded players Jesse Huta Galung, Jiri Vesely and Jan- Lennard Struff. The finale he finally won against his compatriot Filippo Volandri in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
