Marco Delvecchio

Marco Delvecchio (born 7 April 1973 in Milan ) is a retired Italian footballer. He played on the position of a striker.

Career

In the club

The center forward Marco Delvecchio came as a youth player in 1991 in the first team of Inter Milan. After intermediate stations at AC Venice and at Udinese Calcio bought it in 1995 the Roma. For the capital city of the striker played for almost ten years. 2000/ 01 won under Fabio Capello Delvecchio with the Roma, the first Italian Championship in 1982 /83.

In January 2005, Marco Delvecchio joined to the end of the season for Brescia Calcio. For the season 2005/ 06 he went to Parma. After just one season in Parma Delvecchio joined Ascoli Calcio and rose with the club season 2006/ 07 from the B series.

2008 Delvecchio went after a year without a club to Ostia to Pescatori Ostia in Excellenza Laziale. Since 2009 he plays for the A.S.D. Tarquinia Tarquinia Corneto from.

In the National Team

For the Italian national football team Delvecchio played a total of 22 games, scoring four goals. His most important games for Italy he played under coach Dino Zoff at the European Football Championship 2000. In the final against world champion France he scored the 1-0 lead for his team. This was also his first goal in the National Dress. The guide for Italy continued into stoppage time, but eventually had to give his team beaten in extra time 1-2.
