Marco Evaristti

Marco Evaristti (* 1963 in Santiago de Chile) is a Danish artist with Chilean origin. He became known through works which explore in a provocative manner taboos.

Evaristti studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before in 2000 with the installation of Helena in the Art Museum Trapholt ( Kolding ) caused a stir: In the object it was ten blender, filled with live goldfish. The visitors were asked to turn on the device. This project was exhibited again in 2006 and Evaristti had to face an indictment for violation of animal protection laws in Austria.

In another project Evaristti colored 2004, the tip of an iceberg in Greenland with about 3,000 liters of blood-red color. In 2008, he covered the top of Mont Blanc with red fabric and a flag with the words "Pink State".
