Marco van Ginkel

Marco van Ginkel ( born December 1, 1992, Amersfoort ) is a Dutch footballer who plays for Chelsea in London in the Premier League.

Career

Association

Van Ginkel played as a child at De Valleivogels in Scherpenzeel, and came up with seven years to Vitesse Arnhem. Here he went through all the other youth teams, starting in 2005 in the formation of the common football academy Vitesse with the AGOVV Apeldoorn. While still a teenager, he was A- 17 -year-old on 9 April 2010 his debut in the Eredivisie when he came off the bench in the game at RKC Waalwijk in the 67th minute when the score was 1:1 for Nicky court. The game ended 4-1 for Waalwijk. The other three games of the season 2009/10 he was employed.

Before the season 2010/11 was diagnosed with van Ginkel glandular fever, which threw him back momentarily. But already on the second match he was in the left side of midfield in the starting lineup of Vitesse, scoring in the 43rd minute, his first goal in the Eredivisie to 2-2 in the 2:4 defeat against AFC Ajax in Amsterdam. After the winter break, he scored 21 on the match in a 5-2 victory over Roda JC Kerkrade a " double "; subsequently he was regularly in the starting line- of Vitesse.

Van Ginkel's contract with Vitesse Arnhem to run until June 2015, but he moved in 2013 to Chelsea in the Premier League. He has a contract until June 2018. After two brief appearances in the Premier League and the emergence in the starting XI in Champions League match against FC Basel he suffered on September 24, 2013 League Cup match at Swindon Town a torn ACL which is expected for months puts him out of action and his participation in the World Cup in Brazil is in question.

National

In August 2011, he was first appointed to the cadre of the U-21 national team. Bond coach Louis van Gaal summoned him for the match against the German national team on November 14, 2012 for the first time in the squad of A- Team and pulled him for his position in the middle of the more experienced Siem de Jong. Van Ginkel came on in the 59th minute for Ibrahim Afellay and thus after also debuting in this match Kenneth Vermeer, who was from the start in goal for the Dutchman to 727 players in the Orange jersey.
