Marcus Sahlman

Marcus Sahlman (born 2 January 1985) is a Swedish football player. The goalkeeper played in his career in Sweden and Norway, where he is under contract since 2009.

Career

Sahlman began playing football in the youth of Halmstad BK, where he aufrückte in adult education, 2004. First, he was the backup goalkeeper behind Conny Johansson to his debut in Allsvenskan he came with a 1-2 defeat in July 2004 as a field player when he came on in the Nachspielzueit for Dušan Djuric. In the fall of 2006, he finally pushed the competitors to the goalkeeper position, so that he came to a total of 13 league operations in the 2006. However, the club undertook with the Finn Magnus Bahne for the following season a new goalkeeper, so he moved back into second place. In summer 2007 it therefore gave the club to league rivals Trelleborg FF. There he contributed in eleven league games to avoid relegation in the highest Swedish league. After his return to HBK he replaced the injured cruciate ligament Bahne until the summer of 2008, after his recovery, he was again second goalkeeper. In mid-July was Halmstad BK farewell Sahlmans after expiration of his contract at end of season for Norwegian side Tromsø IL known. A few days later he was again awarded to Trelleborg FF to allow him more match practice before his Wechel.

In Norway Sahlman was initially behind Sead Ramović only substitute, because he had injured shortly after the season starts. However, in the course of the season 2010, he became the master force in the Tippeligaen and led the club to third place in the table and in the following year runner-up. In late November 2011, he eventually extended his contract until the end of 2014. According to the first third of the season the 2012 he was injured and was subsequently replaced by the end of the season by his compatriot Benny Lekström. However, after his return to the football field, he was a regular force again.
