Marek Wikiński

He finished his studies at the Faculty of Economics at the Higher School of Engineering in Radom and the Faculty of Law of the University of Warsaw ( Branch in Białystok ). From 1994 to 1998 he was President of the Polish Student Association.

Since 1999, he belonged to the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD ) and is since September 2004 Deputy Chairman of the SLD in Warsaw. 1997, 2001 and 2005, he won a parliamentary seat in the Sejm. He was Secretary of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Leszek Miller and Marek Belka.

In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was the fourth time for the electoral district of Radom with 12,297 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci ( Left and Democrats - LiD ) once again elected to the Sejm. He is a member of the Sejm commissions for Legislation and Public Finance.

Since 22 April 2008 he is a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
