Maret Maripuu

Maret Maripuu (born 16 July 1974 in Tallinn) is an Estonian politician. She was from April 2007 to February 2009 Estonian Minister of Social Affairs.

Maret Maripuu put her Abitur in 1992 in Tallinn. Afterwards she worked at the company Statoil in Estonia from 1993 to 1994. From 1994 Maret Maripuu worked for the fraction of the "liberals" in the Estonian Parliament ( Riigikogu ), the 1996 Estonian Reform Party ( Eesti Reformierakond ) changed their name. From 1994 to 1999 she was also director of the office of the Reform Party.

From 1999 to 2007, Maret Maripuu deputies of the Reform Party in the Estonian Parliament. From 1999 to 2005 she was also a member of the city council of Tallinn, its moderator from 2001 to 2005.

In 2004, Maret Maripuu her master's degree in law at the University of Tallinn private Akadeemia Nord.

From April 2007 to February 2009 was Estonian Minister of Social Affairs Maripuu in the cabinet of Prime Minister Andrus Ansip.

Maret Maripuu is unmarried. She has worked with the Estonian politicians and lawyers Igor Gräzin (* 1952) a son ( * 2001).
