María del Monte Carmelo Sallés y Barangueras

María del Monte Carmelo (birth name: Maria Carmela Salles y Barangueras, born April 9, 1848 in Vic, Spain, † July 25, 1911 in Madrid, Spain) was a Catholic religious founder.

Maria Carmela, who was called by name Sister Maria del Monte Carmelo, founded in 1892 in Burgos, the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of Mary for teaching, taking care especially to the education of women. In the same year the Archbishop of Burgos Community Church gave the first confirmation and chose Maria del Monte Carmelo as Superior General for life.

She was beatified on March 1998 by Pope John Paul II. Your liturgical feast day is December 6.

On October 21, 2012 their was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI ..
