María Muñiz de Urquiza

María Muñiz de Urquiza Paloma (* August 5, 1962 in Gijón) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Socialista Obrero Español.

Life

Urquiza studied political science and sociology. From 1989 to 1994 she was a lecturer in International Public Law at the University Carlos III in Madrid. After she was in the European Parliament advisor for foreign policy, human rights and civil liberties of the PES Group and the Delegation for Relations with Central America, she moved there in 2009 as a deputy. Until the end of March 2012, she sat in front of the Delegation to the EU-Chile Joint Parliamentary Committee.
