Maria Rooth

Maria Rooth ( born November 2, 1979 in Ängelholm ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who plays for AIK Solna in the highest Swedish league, the Riksserien.

At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, she won the Swedish women's national team the bronze medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament and four years later at the Olympic Winter Games in Turin, the silver medal.

When not anticipated semi-final victory against the U.S. women had two goals relevant in the regular season share. At the end of the game she was with nine points scorer, the best european point and non- Canadian player.
