Marie and Bruce is an American film drama from the year 2004. Directed by Tom Cairns, the basis of which the play also wrote the screenplay with Wallace Shawn.

Action

At the beginning of the voice- Marie says that her husband Bruce irritate them. You think about leaving him. Replace the spouses during breakfast from sarcastic remarks. Bruce spends his free time in the company of his friend Roger. Marie goes alone to a party and visited the neighbors. In the end, Bruce and Marie go to sleep.

Reviews

Dennis Harvey wrote in the journal Variety of 26 January 2004, the film WOULD theatrical and unnatural. The plot was " peculiar " and " unclear "; mainly the game's protagonist would make the film " watchable ". Marie and Bruce is stylized and has only occasionally psychologically realistic in view of the " gap " between the two main characters. The music care in an entertaining way for " slightly surreal atmosphere " that impress, while not anspreche the audience ( " amusing musical choices to heighten a lightly surreal atmosphere did impresses even as it keeps the viewer at an emotional distance" ).

Background

The film was shot in New York City. Its world premiere took place on 19 January 2004 at the Sundance Film Festival, in May 2004 Cannes Film Market followed. The film was released in most countries directly to DVD.
