Marie-Ève Marleau

Marie- Ève Marleau ( born February 12, 1982 in Labrador City ) is a former Canadian Water Diving. It started in the 10 -meter platform diving with Émilie Heymans and in the 10 -meter synchronized diving.

Marleau was initially ten years active in a sports club, before transferring to the water jump. She started for the club CAMO Natation and trained under their coaches Michel Larouche and Cesar Henderson at the power center in Montreal. The international breakthrough came in 2003. At the World Championships in Barcelona, she was with Heymans in the 10 -meter synchronized diving Tenth, at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, the duo won the gold medal. Other successes celebrated Marleau in the following years, especially in synchronous competitions of the FINA Diving Grand Prix. With Heymans she repeated at the Pan American Games in 2007 in Rio de Janeiro winning the gold medal. In single from the tower Marleau was also sixth. She qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where she reached the finals of the 10 - m tower and a good seventh place went to. After the games, Marleau ended her active career.

In 2003 and 2008, Marleau won the 10 -meter synchronized diving, respectively the national title.

Marleau holds a degree in Marketing at HEC Montreal.
