Marie Rodell

Marie Freid Rodell ( born January 31, 1912 in New York; † 9 November 1975) was an American literary agent, whose clients, among others, the non-fiction author Rachel Carson and briefly also Martin Luther King counted.

Marie Rodell attended Vassar College, which they in 1932 with a BA completed. After an editor published nine years detective novels, she founded her own literary agency in 1948. This year she also met Rachel Carson, with whom she worked up to their end of life in 1964, whose estate she ordered and for which A Sense of Wonder moved posthumously. In 1957 she was a literary agent for Martin Luther King's book Stride Toward Freedom.
