Marie Thérèse Péroux d’Abany

Marie Thérèse d' PEROUX Abany (* 1753 in Rouen, † March 24, 1821 in Saint- Germain -en- Laye ) was a French writer.

Her marriage to the violent and irascible officer d' Abany was not happy. After separating from her husband, she settled in Saint- Germain -en- Laye. In 1821 she died in the monastery of Saint-Thomas -de -Villeneuve, where she had led a pious life.

1801 wrote Madame d' Abany under the title Seila, fille de Jephté, juge et prince of Hebreux an article published in Paris two-volume Bible novel for young girls. Towards the end of the work the extremely virtuous daughter experienced a sky ride, after she has gone with her father to the place of sacrifice.

In her prose poem L' Amazone française ou Jeanne d' Arc ( 2 vols, 1819 and 1823), the strict Catholic and royalist -minded author Jeanne d' Arc of Blanche of Castile leaves the French Revolution, the death of King Louis XVI. and the reign of Louis XVIII. predict.
