Marin Karmitz

Marin Karmitz ( born October 7, 1938 in Bucharest, Romania ) is a Romanian -born French film producer, screenwriter and film director.

Life

As Karmitz was nine years old, his parents fled from Romania to France, where he obtained his baccalaureate in Paris and then the Institute des hautes études cinématographiques visited and after graduating worked as a cameraman. Later he founded the production company and cinema MK2 chain that has ( mostly shorts) specializes in production and sales of so-called independent or art films.
