Marina Kuptsova

Marina Gennadjewna Kupzowa (Russian Марина Геннадьевна Купцова, English transcription Marina Kuptsova, . Born December 22, 1981 in Moscow) is a Russian high jumper.

Already in the junior classes Kupzowa celebrated international successes. She won the gold and two years later at the same event in Santiago de Chile, the silver medal at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Annecy in 1998. Also in 2000, Kuptsowa took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney.

Medals at major international events in the active class occurred in 2002 and 2003. At the Track European Indoor Championships 2002 in Vienna won Kupzowa with still current personal best of 2.03m. In the summer of the same year ranged at the European Championships in Munich 1.92m for the silver medal behind Kajsa Bergqvist.

Also a second place went Kupzowa with 2.00 m at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis behind Hestrie Cloete and the same height as the Third Bergqvist. In the same year Kupzowa also won the national championships.

After an injury of the Achilles tendon in 2004 Kupzowa could not repeat her old performance.
