Mario Carotenuto

Mario Carotenuto ( born June 29, 1915 in Rome, † 14 April 1995 ) was an Italian actor.

Life

The son of silent film actor Nello Carotenuto spent his youth, which was not always easy, as his brother Memmo in reformatories. He had at the age of 8 at the Teatro Costanzi Jehren, but his own career began after earning a different pursuits his stage debut, including as a meat salesman. In the 1940s, he was hired as a radio actor and founded in 1953 its own troupe of actors.

From 1951 was Carotenuto - also seen in almost one hundred seventy films, most of them comedies in which he often took over the type of arrogant industrialist and imagined urban dweller - after two extras roles. He spent almost his entire career in B- movies. For his performance in diabolical game, he received the 1972 Nastro d'Argento.

After his death from cancer Carotenuto was buried in the family vault.
