Mario de Leon Baltazar

Mario de Leon Baltazar OP (born 1 September 1926 in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines; † 9 July, 2012 Manila ) was a Roman Catholic priest and prelate of the Batanes and Babuyan Islands Territorialprälatur.

Life

Mario Baltazar de Leon joined the Congregation of the Dominican and laid on September 14, 1944 profession on. He received for his theological and philosophical training on 8 March 1952 in the convent's Rosaryhill School in Hong Kong, the ordination. He worked for many years as a priest in pastoral care.

He published the three -volume work " Treasures Old and New" with a collection of homilies; the work was awarded the Catholic Authors Award in 2002 and the ECBA Award 2004.
