Mario Evaristo

Marino, Mario ' Evaristo ( born December 10, 1908 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, † April 30, 1993 in Quilmes ) was an Argentine football player.

Playing career

Association

The 1.70 meter tall Evaristo, who changed his birth name Marino later in Mario, was the brother of Juan Evaristo. He began his career at Sportivo Barracas. Then he went to the Boca Juniors for which he completed a total of 109 games 1926-1931, in which he scored 32 goals. In this time of fast left winger won with his team in both 1926, 1930 and 1931, the championship, the last title win represented the first professional football championship in Argentine football. After another stop at Sportivo Barracas he moved in 1934 to the Racing Club. From there, his path led him to Europe for Italian club Genoa. He then played in France or 1936-1937 for FC Antibes, and 1937-1938 for the OGC Nice.

National

For the Argentine national football team, he played 1929-1930 a total of nine matches. He met three times into the opposing goal. In 1929, he contributed two hits in on winning the Campeonato Sudamericano. It was at this time with his brother Juan member of the team, even at the soccer World Cup in 1930, when the final was reached, there is however subject Uruguay with 2:4.

A trainer

After his playing career, he also worked as a trainer. In 1963 he assisted in this function San Telmo.
