Mario Frick ( 2009)

Mario Frick ( born September 7, 1974 in Chur, Switzerland ) is a Liechtenstein football player. He is also a long-time captain of the Liechtenstein national team.

Club career

He began his career at his hometown club FC Balzers. At age 16 he made his debut in the first team. After he had scored in a season 38 hits, he was accompanied by various Swiss clubs observed ( inter alia FC Zurich Grasshoppers Zurich, FC St. Gallen). At age 19 he moved to FC St. Gallen in the top flight of Switzerland. At the age of 26 years he became the first Liechtenstein jump into the non-Swiss abroad.

He graduated around a hundred games in Serie A. With well over 500 professional games and over 140 goals he is the most successful liechtensteiner players. In the summer 2011, he returned to FC Balzers. There he took over in September 2012, the Office of the players coach.

Career in the national team

On 26 October 1993 he played his first game in the Liechtenstein national team. Since 30 May 2008, he is his country's most capped player. With 16 goals, he is also scorer. On 10 August 2011, he enlisted in the friendly against Switzerland jersey number 100, as this was his 100th appearance for Liechtenstein.
