Mario Gjurovski

Mario Gjurovski ( maz. Марио Ѓуровски (ISO 9 transliteration: Mario Ǵurovski ) serb. Mario Đurovski; born December 11, 1985 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Macedonian football player who plays for the Thai club Muang Thong United since 2012.

Career

Association

In his youth Gjurovski played for FK Čukarički Stankom before moving to FK Red Star Belgrade in 2003. But there he got no use opportunities, so he was loaned to OFK Mladenovac. After he played twelve league games for Mladenovac, he was again awarded to FK Sopot 2004. In the summer of 2004 he moved to FK Bežanija in the Prva liga Srbija, the second highest Serbian football league. Two years later Gjurovski managed his team to move up to the newly-formed Super League. However, a season followed later again the descent. He then went to FK Vojvodina Novi Sad after he played 80 league games for Bežanija, in which he scored eighteen goals. First, however, he got only limited usage times, until he was able to fight for a role as a frequent Einwechsel or even occasional regulars. In the 2008 /09 season Vojvodina ended the season with the second place in the table and reached a season later, the final of the Serbian Football Cup, which, however, they lost 0-3 against old Gjurovskis club Red Star Belgrade.

During the winter transfer window 2010/11 he left after 50 league games the club and signed on 1 March 2011 at the Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk. There he signed a three -year contract.

Since the 2012 season, the Macedonians plays in Thailand for 2- time champions Muang Thong United.

National

Since 2010 Gjurovski national team of Macedonia. In his international debut on 29 May, he scored his first international goal against Azerbaijan same.

Others

He is the son of former Yugoslav and Macedonian football national player later Milko Gjurovski and the nephew of Bosko Gjurovski, who was also active in the national teams of both nations.
